High-quality childcare and nursery education

We believe that every child is special and therefore, we treat every child with the same amount of love, care and affection. At Little Acorns Day Nursery, we follow the 4 principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage and every work that we do at our children's nursery is based on it. Take a look at our 4 principles below:
  • A Unique Child: Every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured
  • Positive Relationships: Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with               parents and/or a key person
  • Enabling Environments: The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children's development and                       learning
  • Learning and Development: Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and all areas of learning               and development are equally important and interconnected

At our nursery, we offer a wide range of facilities that are worth considering before you decide to admit your child to any other nursery. Some of them include:

  • A designated baby care facility: We have a baby care facility where our expert Caroline, the Line Manager, takes care of the babies with utmost care and affection. Caroline is the leader of the baby care facility and has over thirty years of experience. She enjoys an excellent reputation in caring and providing a lovely environment for the babies
  • A full preschool: All children at our nursery who are aged between 2-5 years will get access to a full curriculum which                     complements and supports the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). At our care facility, we have designated classrooms for           nurturing Personal, Social and Emotional, Communication & Language, and Physical Development in the children. As well as         this, we also offer Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts & Design, offering an insight into a             school-like environment whilst maintaining a supportive and caring atmosphere where the children can learn through their           play and experiences
  • Outdoor play area: We have an inviting outdoor play area that is designed for adventure, play, learning development,                   growth and fun

We aim for quality education

Little Acorns Day Nursery aims to provide high-quality childcare and nursery education in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, giving priority to the development, needs and happiness of our children and their families.

The Nursery believes that this quality can be achieved by working together in partnership with parents, carers and Ofsted, with our childcare and nursery education firmly following the above mentioned 4 EYFS principles.

Our nursery operates for 52 weeks per year and is open between 8.00am to 6.00pm. It is closed during bank holidays. It may also be necessary, depending on staffing levels, to close the nursery for extenuating circumstances.

We value the diverse community

Our day care for babies recognises and values the diverse community that it serves and if parents have any queries, comments or suggestions about its operation, they are encouraged to inform the Nursery Manager.

Parents are always welcome to spend time in the nursery and our staff will be happy and willing to discuss your child’s progress, development or any concerns that you may have.

If you are looking to admit your child to our nursery, you can call us and we'll provide more details for you. Please note that there is a waiting list for admissions. So if you wish to admit your child, please complete an application form and register. All registered applicants will be added to our waiting list and informed accordingly.
